You say potato!

Im off work this week, and I have to say Im a little bored! So I thought what better way to spend my day off than dabbling in a bit of craft.
I've gone Old school & thought I'd try my hand at a bit of Potato printing.
Its so easy and looks pretty cool, albeit a little messy.

Perfect for wrapping presents, As lets face it, it's going to get ripped to pieces in a matter of seconds.
I used A potato (obviously) A sharp knife. Gouache & Acrylic Paint &  Pastel paper. And For the polka-dots I used cotton buds, Tada! Custom made gift wrap.

I made this super easy Balloon Birthday Card for a friend, and thought I would share it with you all.
You will need
  • Dulux colour sample cards / or just regular coloured card
  •  cotton
  •  Washi tape
  •  glue
  •  sticky tape
  •  A4 Card
  •  Scissors
Start by Folding your A4 card in half (this will be your card)
Then Cut out five small balloon shapes from your colour paint samples.
Cut five strips of string all roughly the same length. Using a small square of sticky tape secure your string to the back of your balloon. Glue each Balloon to the folded A4 card. Gently pull all your balloon strings taught, fix them in place using a piece of coloured Washi tape Finish by writing a message on your tape! Eat your heart out Neil Buchanan.
